Message of the Moment: The Stars

Once again I could not decide between two backgrounds so I went with both.

And on November's menu is sparkle.  Sparks.  Shimmer.  Shine.  Polish. Metals (metallic hues).  Stars in our eyes.  Beautiful evenings.  Superstar status.  Fabulousness.  Glamour.  A light in the dark.  Guidance and guides.  Insight.  Wisdom.  Experience.  Support.  Awareness.  An eye on the future.  Hope and faith... and fate.  Wishes. Satisfaction.  Know-how. Treasure.  A compass.  Direction. Standing out.  Purpose.  Recognition.  Awards and rewards.  Perks.  Recommendations and positive feedback/reviews.  Ability and/or capability.  Cosmic activity or sights in the skies.  Discoveries.  Modeling, posturing.  Killing two birds with one stone.

Yes, sparks are there (or still there).  And they needn't exist only in our most intimate relationships.  They can and may exist in what we do.

Because it's kinda nice to feel like doing... what we do.  Not everyday or every second of every day.  But just often enough for us to see that, overall, something we are doing is pretty fabulous.  And we're interested in it.

Or, perhaps we're serving more than one purpose, like the lady in the Stars who is replenishing a pond (?) while hydrating Earth, where we all happen to reside. She is giving something back to areas that have given so much (nourishment) to her.

So, what has nourished us (literally or metaphorically)?  And how can we give back to the source of our nourishment?  How can we keep the source of our nourishment alive and well?  Fueled?

There is a focus here on what we can change or do (versus what we have no power or control over) as well as on a sense of purpose.

There is also a quiet success or sense of fulfillment here. You know, the kind of stuff we're content with that we don't plaster all over Facebook.  The kind of stuff we want to keep close to our hearts and in our thoughts because it gets us through our day.

Reflect upon and remember the point, the purpose, the result(s) of plans, goals, and so forth.

And, yes, some will certainly achieve desired results.

Finally, some may want to consider practicing what they preach... or putting words into actions. Maybe modeling certain behaviors. It is through our actions that some will teach, inspire, and/or motivate others (and even ourselves).

Best wishes and best of luck in your pursuits!  And stay (naturally) cool...

June's Message of the Moment: The Knave of Chalices

Well, here's a friendly face I haven't seen in a while... although, honestly, after April's draw, I'd be OK with the Tower, Death, Three of Swords, Ten of Swords, Seven of Swords, Ten of Wands, Nine of Wands, Seven of Wands, and so on and so on, etc.

So.  The Knave of Chalices, at least to me (AND KEEP DEM ONE-STAR REVIEWS COMING LIKE THIS IS EVER-FASCINATING-AND-TOTALLY-RELIABLE YELP HERE, FOLKS— thanks, I know how much my posts suck), is kindness personified.

Kindness.
Personified.
This card may represent an offer or invitation, a small opportunity or proposal, little tokens of appreciation, manners, compliments, toasts, and subtle acts of kindness.  For instance, think: "TG, have coffee with me."

Then, think about TG likely having coffee with you because pretty much no one asks her to have coffee BUT.  What's important here is, TG loves coffee and it rocks her world.  Coffee may be kind of a small deal (you know, a small Knave of Chalices deal) to som…

Message of the Moment: The Nine of Pentacles

Yes, it's been awhile since I last posted a Tarot update.  And I have to admit: I missed you!  How have you been?
I bet some have a lot to tell, good and sucky.  We may be full of stories and experiences now, as full as those bushes with coins up there. We may be even be ready to display these stories somehow, just as beautifully as those coins, all polished and pretty, are being displayed up there.
Full. Lush. Plush. Blossomed. Success(es). Enhancements. Savings. Cushions. Furnishings. Talents, skills,"gifts". Education...  These are among the words that come to mind whenever I see this card.  There is a richness to it, sort of like the richness one might find in certain, say, yummy French dishes. :)
We wouldn't mind having a bit of that fullness, that richness and, dare I say, some may achieve just it this month. 'Something to show for it'.  The fruits (rewards) of our labor. Golden opportunities to maximize our resources, too.
Consider using these oppor…

Message of the Moment: The Nine of Swords

Mother of God, I'm so glad I pulled a nice stress-free card for April.

Whenever I pull a card like this, I'm always tempted to put it back in my deck.  Like, it can't be serious, right?  It just can't...

And if I'm pulling a card for a specific someone, I think, how the hell am I supposed to explain this one?  I mean... what if that someone is going through an overwhelming amount of poo already?  Does that person really need to see the Nine of Swords?  Do I really need to alert that person of an incoming episode of explosive diarrhea?

Happy... April?  (And if another reader/blogger draws a happier card, feel free to check out his/her interpretation while I stew in Nine of Swords juices over here.)

Since we're all dying to know what's on the menu, I figure I should start with the appetizer section... which includes worries and what-ifs and other (likely petty) annoyances.  A series of them, actually.  You know, the Nines in a suit are always so close to th…
